Self Care Habits

Best Self Care Habits

In this digital age, we need some time to ourselves, to disconnect us from the outside world. To release those toxins from our body and relax and live in the moment. Well, here are some self-care habits for your well-being.

Set up a Morning Routine

Take your mornings slow. This is the only time of the day you have with yourself. All the great achievers of the world have a dedicated morning routine. If your work starts early, wake up early 1hr in the morning and give that time to yourself. Have a relaxing cup of tea and just enjoy looking out the window. You deserve it!

Read Books

Books can take you into literally another dimension. Books are the escape people need in their daily life. Living the life of another character makes you forget all your problems and stress. A good book and a cozy bed is all you need for the ultimate relaxation

Meditate

Breathe in, Breathe out. The highest achievers out there are regular meditators. Focusing on your breath detoxes your mind from all the garbage we go through daily. Find a spot for yourself, put out a yoga mat, close your eyes and relax!

Listen to Music

Well as we have seen in Stranger Things, Music can go into places words cannot. Listening to our favorite songs releases dopamine in our brains, reduces anxiety, and calms us down. Many high achievers in sports listen to music to calm their anxiety down before their big play.

Go out in Nature

We human beings were meant to live out in caves, in nature surrounded by luscious green trees. But now we are surrounded by concrete tall buildings everywhere. Nature is the best free therapy anyone can have from time to time. There is something about fresh air and green trees that just makes our hearts happy. Go on to a hike or ride your bicycle. Visit your nearest beach and let the waves touch your feet

Have a Spa date

Nothing is as relaxing as submerging yourself in essential oils.Spa or body massage relaxes your muscles and mind and de-stresses you completely. They release happy hormones in your body and just lift your mood instantly. People who have back pain or any muscle pain from too much desk work can certainly indulge in this self-care habit from time to time.

Workout

Any form of workout or physical training releases endorphins in our body and improves our mood giving us energy. Workout can surely contribute to a weight loss journey but also reduces your risk of diseases and makes your body stronger.

Social Media Detox

Those mindless hours of scrolling aren’t going to get you anywhere. It will just increase unwanted thoughts in your brain. Social Media detox from time to time is a must in anyone’s mental health checklist. Uninstalling other people from your lives just makes more space for a hobby or passion you always liked but never had the time.

Watch Happy content

Our brain consumes everything we watch and hear. Feed it with happy positive content. You already have too much drama in your life, you don’t need to watch other people’s drama. It just messes our minds more.

Journal

One of the best daily self-care habits anyone can do from anywhere is journaling. You just need a pen and paper. That’s it! Write all things going on in your mind. Write down every feeling your feeling. Remember half of your problem is solved once you have written down the problem.

Express Gratitude

People are consumed by stress and work so much, they forget to count their blessings, and express gratitude. Writing down 5 things you are grateful for every day tells the universe you are ready for more things to be grateful for. It instantly lifts your mood and gives you a boost of confidence and motivation.

Cook for yourself

Pour yourself a nice drink, throw on your pajamas, and cook a delicious dish for yourself. Even it’s just 2min Maggie. When you cook for yourself, you live in the moment, you are mindful of every ingredient you are putting into the dish. Tell me a better self-care habit, I’ll wait!

Hydrate

The basic necessity of our well-being is drinking enough water. One should consume at least 2-3 liters of water daily to flush out all the toxins and irregularities from our body

Clean your space

Clean space, clean mind. The pile of clothes laying on your chair, the dust sitting on your TV, the books that need to be arranged only portrays how cluttered you are as a person. Get up, put on some music, or watch some happy content and get that task done. You will feel more accomplished and relaxed.

Burn some Candles

Fragrant candles help you calm down your nerves and relax your mind. It instantly brightens up your environment and makes you feel. Buy the fragrance you like and go burn some candles.

Hope this post helps!
